What is HOPE?
At the heart of HOPE is the power of shared experience. Through weekly virtual meetings, HOPE brings together parents and caregivers who are concerned about the wellbeing, behaviour, or life challenges of a youth (13+) or adult child.
Who HOPE Supports
Parents and caregivers often come to HOPE when they are concerned about a youth (13+) or adult child experiencing challenges such as:
- Mental health concerns
- Drug or alcohol use
- Addiction
- Technology overuse
- School difficulties, including skipping classes, suspensions, or academic struggles
- Not working or attending school
- Legal issues
- Staying out late or not coming home
- Withdrawal from family and friends
- Verbal or physical aggression
- Stealing money or valuables
- Property damage
- Dishonesty or secretive behaviour
HOPE SE Manitoba provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where parents can speak openly, be heard without judgment, and gain encouragement from others who understand.
