How to Join HOPE
You Are Not Alone
HOPE is a community for parents and caregivers of young people (13+) who are dealing with very hard and stressful challenges. Our groups are led by parents who have lived through similar situations. They offer support, understanding, and practical ideas without judgment.
You can learn about how our peersupport program works before you join.
Step 1: Book a 20-Minute Meeting
You do not need a referral from another agency or therapist to reach for HOPE. We have no waiting lists and you are welcome to join as soon as you are ready.
Start by booking a short meeting to learn more about HOPE and ask any questions you have.
Click below, fill out a short form (about 2 minutes) and choose a date and time for your meeting. You can meet by Zoom or by phone. After you book, you will get a confirmation email (and a Zoom link if needed).
If you cannot book online, call 1-866-492-1299 or email info@hope4parents.ca and we will help you.
Step 2: Learn About HOPE
Your meeting will be with a HOPE parent who understands what it is like to face serious challenges with a young person. During this meeting, we will:
- Learn about your family’s needs
- Answer your questions
- Help you decide if HOPE is a good fit
- Suggest the best HOPE group for you
- Talk about meeting times that work for you
If HOPE seems right for you, you can visit a HOPE meeting as a guest.
Step 3: Attend a HOPE Meeting as a Guest
Visiting a HOPE meeting helps you decide if HOPE feels right for you. During this visit, you can:
- See how parents support each other
- Hear stories from other parents
- Get a sense of the group’s safety and comfort
- Join a short orientation with an experienced parent volunteer
This visit is confidential, and there is no pressure to join.
Step 4: Join HOPE
If you choose to join, you will fill out a simple online registration before your second meeting.
As a HOPE member, you get:
- Weekly group sessions
- One-on-one checkins with your mentor
- HOPE’s Fresh Perspectives parent guidebook
- Workshops and trainings
- Access to HOPE Central resources
- Alumni community opportunities
Membership Fees
HOPE membership fees help cover the costs of printed materials, member benefits and operational costs.
2026 Membership
- $50 for the first parent or guardian
- $25 for the second parent or guardian
We never want money to stop anyone from joining HOPE. If cost is a concern, we will work with you to find a plan that fits your situation.
"We still have issues, but we are managing and I feel so much lighter, freer, and—dare I say it?—hopeful."
