"When Parents Are Not Okay, There Is HOPE" Wins Gold!
In the summer of 2024, HOPE had the wonderful opportunity to partner with Centennial College through their STORYWORKS program. We were matched with an outstanding team of Communications and Media students who developed a public relations campaign tailored to HOPE’s mission and values.
The collaboration brought fresh energy and ideas to our outreach efforts. The students’ creativity shone through in their social media strategies, branding suggestions, and content planning. Their efforts even helped HOPE land a segment on Breakfast Television, significantly expanding awareness of our support groups and services. The tools and techniques they introduced continue to shape our communications work today.
Earlier this year, that same student team received recognition by winning Gold at the CPRS ACE Awards for Best Student Communications Plan. We are so proud of this well-deserved achievement and extend a heartfelt congratulations to Indigo Kayla Teoh, Raheem Palmer, Nolisha Miller, Aderonke Idowu, Joyce Kingsley, and Yash Bhanushali. Your work made a real difference.
This experience reinforced the importance of community partnerships and reminded us just how much insight, innovation, and passion young people bring to the table. At HOPE, we deeply value these connections—not only because they help amplify our message, but because they build bridges across generations. Working alongside the Centennial team has shown us that when we invest in youth and invite them into our mission, we all benefit. We look forward to continuing to nurture opportunities like this in the future.
